The National Autism Association (NAA) has created a safety toolkit called the Big Red Safety Box for families as part of as part of their continuing efforts to prevent wandering-related injuries and deaths in the autism community.
Included in the Big Red Safety Box are items such as educational materials and tools, door/window alarms with batteries, a RoadID Personalized, Engraved Shoe ID Tag, adhesive stop sign visual prompts for doors and windows, two safety alert window clings and a red safety alert wristband. Consider making an optional donation when requesting your Big Red Safety Box.
Grants to receive a Big Red Safety Box are available on occasion for families. These grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to all qualifying applicants while supplies last.
