Thank you for joining us at our recent All-Inclusive Day of Play event! We had so much fun meeting everyone and hope you had just as much fun spending time with us.
A heartfelt thank you to the hundreds of incredible families who attended, as well as our volunteers, dedicated sponsors and supportive vendors, for making the day such a meaningful success.
Children went home with free books and joyful memories, and the day was a wonderful celebration of inclusion, connection and community.
Special thanks to our main sponsors, First 5 San Diego, the San Diego Downtown Rotary Club and the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities, for their support in helping drive home the mission of reading.
We were also honored to welcome 2026 Flourishing Families cover models Ciara Wery and Marisa Cox, two inspiring young women with Down syndrome whose friendship and accomplishments reflected the spirit of inclusion and community.
Families enjoyed activities including the SpongeBob Jellyfish Craft, Space Jam Basketball, Moana’s Shell Craft and more. Families also visited the event’s Starry Cinema Movie Area and the Spotlight on Reading station, where children enjoyed photos and storytime with Princess Jasmine.
We’d also like to shout out our talented ShopAble vendors, Kianna Beads and Luka’s Creations, who showcased and sold beautiful handmade jewelry and gifts at the event.
Catch all the fun! Dive into our event photos and don’t miss the action-packed video below.
As we celebrate the memories from this special day, we’re already looking ahead to our next event, the All-Inclusive Day of Play & Resource Fair, happening Friday, July 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Miramar Hourglass Recreation Center. Save the date! Registration will open by May 15.
We’d love to see you there. Join us for another fun, inclusive day.

Let’s give a big round of applause to our sponsors!

Family and guest participation in this event was made possible, in part, through funding from the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities.
