The Special Needs Resource Foundation of San Diego would like to thank The Country Friends for their generous charitable grant of $8,000.
Support from The Country Friends will help us move forward with our mission of helping parents and advocates in the special needs community overcome challenges of the family’s journey by bringing together people, information and resources.
The mission of The Country Friends is to support human care agencies with emphasis on those providing services to women, children, the elderly, the military and persons with disabilities in San Diego County.
The Country Friends was formed in 1954 to fulfill a need of “Helping San Diegans, One Hand at a Time.” The Country Friends actively seeks out members and sponsors, owns and operates a Consignment Shop, and hosts events to raise funds for local human care agencies.
The Country Friends funds many San Diego agencies each year that offer preventative programs, self-improvement and/or job training programs, as well as medical facilities with special equipment needs.
